The 5th Avenue Theater production of Oliver! which opens Nov. 29 features two boys from Maple Valley

The show features over 250 costumes, 17 musicians playing 40 instruments, and a cast of 78 – 48 of whom are children.

Tyler Bocock of Maple Valley plays a member of Fagin’s gang of thieves who teach young Oliver Twist how to be a pickpocket. If Tyler’s name sounds familiar to you, it may be because he was a finalist in the Maple Valley Idol Jr. Awards. When he’s not onstage singing and dancing, he is at home playing with his hedgehog, playing soccer, or hanging out with his friends.

Benicio Bryan, also of Maple Valley, is one of the boys in the workhouse who sing the opening number, “Food Glorious Food.” A student of Lake Wilderness Elementary School, Benicio was also a finalist in the Maple Valley Idol Jr. Awards – second place! He loves to sing and play the drums, and is learning to play the piano.

Oliver! plays Nov. 29-Dec. 31 at The 5th Avenue Theatre, 1308 5th Ave, Seattle, WA 98101.  Tickets may be purchased online at www.5thavenue.org, by phone at 206-625-1900, or at the Box Office at 1308 5th Avenue in downtown Seattle.
