Huff attributed it to few hotly contested primary races or ballot measures.

The county has more than 1 million registered voters.Countywide, 600,000-plus absentee ballots were distributed, according to the county elections department. The mail-in ballots had to be returned by Tuesday – postmarked by that day if mailed, or deposited in drop boxes – in order to count in the final results. About 210,000 had arrived by Wednesday, officials said.
