The Master Gardeners Foundation and roughly 250 second grade students from Tahoma School District will be visiting the Lake wilderness Arboretum tomorrow as part of a Tribal Life Trail.
The trail focuses on the ethno botanical uses of native plants by the Puget sound Native tribes.
The trail is approximately 200 feet in length and covers culinary, medicinal, utilitarian, clothing and ceremonial uses of plants.
The second grade teachers at Rock Creek created a program of three rotating stations, covering plant identification, a legend story, and the tour of the Trail.
The Rock Creek students will visit from 9:20-11:30 a.m.
Lake Wilderness Elementary students will be there from 1-2:45 p.m.
