CREDIT CARD FRAUD: 26200 block of 192nd Place Southeast. A woman reported that an unknown suspect used her credit card account information to make fraudulent purchases. Three charges were made over a three day period totaling $1,248.79.

CHRONIC SHOPLIFTER: 17000 block of Southeast 270th Place. Loss prevention employees at Kohl’s stopped a shoplifter after the suspect stole two belts. The shoplifter is suspected in a number of thefts at the department store going back several months. While in custody the suspect admitted stealing a $1,700 ring from the store several months earlier. Kohl’s employees believe the shoplifter had been stealing by switching items and tags.

SLEIGHT OF HAND: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A female customer at Fred Meyer left her wallet in the upper portion of the shopping cart while she turned away to look at items on display. A juvenile female stood next to the woman, made a comment about a candy display then walked away. When the victim turned back to her cart the wallet was gone.
ANGRY DRUNK: 16900 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A drunken suspect threatened to cut the victim, causing him to fear for his life. The suspect then attempted to break a car window. When police arrived the suspect resisted arrest.

THEFT: 168500 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A woman who works at Valley Medical Center’s offices in Covington left her office door open while she went to lunch. She left her cell phone and lunch box visible on the desk while her wallet was in a desk drawer. While she was at lunch someone entered the office and stole those items.
STOLEN WALLET: 16900 block of Southeast 272nd Street. The victim’s wallet was stolen either while in the parking lot or in the Dollar Store. The victim’s debit card was immediately used by the thief at the Shell station in Covington.

LIKE MOTHER, LIKE DAUGHTER: 25900 block of 185th Place Southeast. A woman suspects her daughter of stealing about $2,000 worth of jewelry from her home.
CASING THE JOINT: 27100 block of 167th Place Southeast. Employees at Quiznos sandwich shop called to report a man sitting in his car in the parking lot around the time the store closed. “They were concerned he may be casing the store for criminal activity,” the police report stated, and employees told police the man had been parked in the lot on numerous occasions recently.

ARSON: 24200 block of Witte Road Southeast. Someone lit the lid of a trash can on fire inside a covered play area at an elementary school. The fire caused minor damage to the blacktop floor of the play area over the long holiday weekend.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 24300 block of 234th Way Southeast. A man was arrested after he grabbed at, scratched and bit his ex-girlfriend in violation of a domestic violence no-contact order.

FRAUD: 27000 block of state Route 169. Money was fraudulently refunded to credit cards using a point of sale machine at Elephant Car Wash in Four Corners.
