Brinlee Gillies, 9, has donated hair to the Locks of Love organization for three years. The organization provides hair for children who have lost their hair due to medical treatments.

She began donating her locks when she found out her aunt had breast cancer.

“I wanted to help by donating my hair,” Gillies said.

This year the Glacier Park Elementary student organized a Locks of Love haircutting with other classmates.

The girls had their haircut Tuesday after school and all the cut hair was donated to Locks of Love.
