Woodcock would come up with fiscally sound solutions on Maple Valley City Council | Letter

Bill Woodcock for City Council is a name I have been waiting to see on the ballot for a long time. One of the big reasons I love this town is people like Bill Woodcock.

Bill Woodcock for City Council is a name I have been waiting to see on the ballot for a long time.  One of the big reasons I love this town is people like Bill Woodcock.

Bill has put his heart and soul into making this and our surrounding committees much better places with a particular emphasis on keeping a strong family oriented feel to our city.  He is constantly volunteering either through the local Rotary club or through the schools or as part of the city to make sure the city is a safe place that we all want to spend time enjoying.

I even had the pleasure of driving him to a ceremony to honor him as the Citizen of the Year where the mayor declared Aug. 31 as “Bill Woodcock Day”.  Few people in this city have the kind of dedication and drive of Bill Woodcock in making Maple Valley a better place to live. When you couple that drive along with his strong fiscal background it is hard to imagine a better candidate.

Bill has successfully opened, developed and subsequently sold very successful businesses where he helped local small businesses make sound financial decisions to ensure continued growth and fiscal responsibility.

Him and his wife built a very successful real estate company from the ground up here in Maple Valley employing 15 plus employees and expect that business to maintain steady growth even in a tough economy.  He will bring this experience to the city of Maple Valley and help to come up with creative solutions to our fiscal challenges ensuring that Maple Valley continues to be a great place, but more importantly a safe place to live as our small town grows.

Please make sure you get out and vote before Nov. 8 and you have Bill Woodcock selected for City Council Position No. 1.
