Enjoying a St. Patrick’s Day theme on March 15, nearly 200 supporters filled the Greater Maple Valley Community Center to learn about and celebrate the multitude of services and resources The Center provides to the residents of the Tahoma School District and beyond.

A wonderful breakfast was prepared by The Center’s resident chefs.  The Mistress of Ceremonies was Larissa Long, Mrs. Pacific Northwest (and a local Maple Valley Resident).

Larissa is a spokesperson for “Autism Speaks” and was a delight throughout the early morning event.

A new video highlighting the work and accomplishments of the Center was created by Bruce Hudson of Hudson Portrait Design.

The Board of Directors, staff and I would like to thank all table captains, donors and our area sponsors who were instrumental in insuring that this event was a financial success:  Our Event Sponsor Fred Meyer – Eric Georgia and Dee Dee Garton updated the crowd on the new store at Four Corners.  There are many jobs available!

Gold Sponsors: Valley Medical Center, BECU and Puget Sound Energy.

Major Supporting Sponsors:  MultiCare; Tina McDonough-RE/Max Leading Edge and Quota International of Kent Valley.

Supporting Sponsors: Johnson’s Doit Best, Claffey’s Painting and Pinnacle Medical Wellness. Special thanks also to our in-kind donors: The UPS Store in Covington, Malone’s Landscape and Nursery, Hudson’s Portrait Design and Wilderness Chevron U-Haul.

A special thank you to Cassidy and Karlee from the Maple Valley Youth Council and our amazingly giving staff who are always going the extra mile for the Maple Valley community. Many dedicated hours were given by the event committee, Alison Jenkins, Cheri MacKinnon, Marcia Hansen and Kelly Travis.

If you were unable to attend and would like to make a contribution, your gift would be welcome.

We consider it a great privilege and responsibility to be a vital non-profit agency serving senior adults, families with children, and the youth of southeast King County.

Most Sincerely,

Lynn Roberts, Executive Director
