I am writing to urge the voters of Maple Valley to re-elect Mary Jane Glaser to the Tahoma School Board of Directors

I am writing to urge the voters of Maple Valley to re-elect Mary Jane Glaser to the Tahoma School Board of Directors.

As an employee (fifth-grade teacher), I value the leadership that Mary Jane brings to our school system. Her dedication and support to ourstudents, our staff and our community have helped make the Tahoma School District great. As we prepare our students to be “FutureReady” and prepare for a huge transition with a new high school and realignment I am confident that Mary Jane’s leadership will guideor districts future.

I have had the opportunity to go to Olympia with Mary Jane and speak to our state senators, legislatures and policy makers with theTahoma collation ( A group of teachers, administrators, board members, classified staff and parents). Mary Jane is a strong advocate forpublic education. She has experience and knowledge of the issues facing education funding and mandates in our state. Her experienceand credibility are an asset to Tahoma when we are in Olympia advocating for Tahoma.

As a leader in our teacher association, I value Mary Jane’s partnership. She is always willing to listen and ask questions to gain more of anunderstanding. Our teachers association and district have a strong history of a collaborative relationship, I feel this relationship is a directreflection on the strong school board that we have. Their leadership is what guides our school system. Mary Jane has be invaluable tobuilding this relationship.

On behalf of the 430 teacher/members of the Tahoma Education Association, we encourage the voters of Maple Valley to vote for MaryJane Glaser for the Tahoma School Board.
