Olness most qualified candidate for mayor | Letter to the editor

Rebecca has proven that she is an active and engaged mayor.

I have known Rebecca Olness for almost 20 years. She has been a volunteer and supporter of the Black Diamond Community Center and has served first as a City Council member and then as mayor. During the time I have known her she has always done a wonderful job of representing the citizens of Black Diamond and the surrounding areas. Although I live in Covington, I have been attending the Black Diamond Community Center and the Maple Valley Community Center for years and Rebecca is very well-known and respected at both.

Rebecca is a member of the Black Diamond Sons of Italy lodge, the Black Diamond Elementary PTA, the Maple Valley/Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce and the Black Diamond/Maple Valley Kiwanis. She has volunteered countless hours for all these organizations at auctions, dinners, cleaning the roadside, school assemblies, Veteran’s Day and Memorial Day observances and other holiday events. In addition to the many hours she puts in at City Hall every day, she is highly visible in the community and attends just about every event.

Rebecca has proven that she is an active and engaged mayor. She is endorsed by just about every elected official in South King County and represents Black Diamond on many King County and Sound City Association Committees. She is the only qualified and dedicated candidate for mayor. Re-elect Rebecca Olness for Black Diamond mayor!
