Man cited for driving with suspended license and two bags of marijuana in his pockets | Black Diamond Police Blotter

An officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE with the registered owner having a suspended license. The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the male driver as the registered owner (suspended driver).

MARIJUANA: 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE. An officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound in the 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE with the registered owner having a suspended license.  The officer made a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the male driver as the registered owner (suspended driver).  The male driver said he knew his license was suspended and he also stated he did not have any insurance for the vehicle.  The male driver was placed under arrest and two small baggies of marijuana were located in his pockets.  The male driver was issued criminal citations for the violations and released from the scene.  The vehicle was impounded.

April 19

BICYCLE COLLISION: 29200 block of 216th Avenue SE. An officer was dispatched to an injury accident involving a bicyclist along the 29200 block of 216th Avenue Southeast.  Upon arrival the officer observed a male bicyclist with minor injuries.  Through investigation at the scene it was learned the male bicyclist was traveling northbound on 216th Avenue SE and was passing cars illegally on the right.  A vehicle was making a legal right-hand turn into a business, which caused the bicyclist to break suddenly, sending him over his handle bars.  The Black Diamond Fire Department treated the male bicyclist at the scene and he was transported to a local hospital by ambulance.
