The city of Maple Valley and King County are partnering to bring residents a recycling collection event Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will take place at Rock Creek Elementary School.
What’s accepted: Tires, motor oil, batteries, cardboard, porcelain toilets and sinks, propane tanks, bulky wood, appliances, scrap metal, mattresses, electronic equipment and more. There will also be paper shredding available.
What’s not accepted: Furniture/household goods, construction debris, garbage, plastic toys and hoses, window glass, oil-based paints, pesticides, cleaning products, household chemicals, and fluorescent lights.
There will also be compost, rain barrel and worm bins for sale.
