Members of Americorps and the Civilian Community Corps held a restoration project in the Dorre Don Natural Area in Maple Valley Dec. 14.

As a part of the project, the members removed invasive plant species, such as ivy and blackberries, replacing them with native trees such as Douglas Fir.

The project is a part of an effort by the Mountains to Sound Greenway Trust, to restore and promote natural areas.
