Eastside Catholic lacrosse midfielder and Maple Valley resident Colin MacIlvennie has been recognized by a prominent national lacrosse publication as one of the top prep lacrosse seniors-to-be in America.
MacIlvennie, a 2013 US Lacrosse High School All-American and two-time All-State selection, was named by Inside Lacrosse to its annual “Top 50 Young Gun Seniors” list.
MacIlvennie, who has committed to play NCAA Division I lacrosse at Maryland following his senior season at Eastside Catholic, ranked 38th on the list. It’s the second consecutive appearance for the Sammamish midfielder.
At Eastside Catholic, MacIlvennie finished the 2013 season with 44 goals and 29 assists for a sixth-best 73 points in Washington state boys Division I play. His efforts on the field helped the Crusaders advance to the Washington state Div. I semifinals after completing a 12-2-0 season atop the Metro Conference.
