In answering this question, over 35 years of experience in coaching and parent education went into developing the Mastery Approach to Parenting in Sports (MAPS). The primary objective of MAPS is to assist parents in creating a mastery-oriented climate that promotes achievement in all areas of life, including sports. During this workshop, parents are taught how to create a learning environment that promotes youngsters’ personal, social and athletic development.
