The inaugural Summer Classic at the Park volleyball tournament is set to be held on Sunday, Aug. 3 at Lake Wilderness Park.

The event is being held in honor of Denis Thom, who is battling an aggressive form of breast cancer, with the proceeds to benefit Wings of Karen, the Maple Valley-based nonprofit focused on supporting Puget Sound area breast cancer researchers.
