Drivers planning to take a trip over I-90 Snoqualmie Pass need to plan for delays due to lane closures and nightly rock blasting closures.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 at 6:30 p.m. for about an hour each night Monday, Sept. 22 through Thursday, Sept. 25. During rock blasting closures, eastbound drivers will be stopped at Gold Creek (milepost 56) and westbound drivers will be stopped at Price Creek (milepost 61).
Intermittent rolling slowdowns could cause 20 minute delays Monday through Friday during the day from Gold Creek (milepost 56) to Price Creek (milepost 61). Drivers will also experience nighttime delays due to a single lane closure through the same location.
Bridge crews will be inspecting the Denny Creek Bridge, which could cause minor delays due to single lane closures from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Minor nighttime delays are expected from 10 p.m. to 9 a.m. Monday through Friday due to single lane closures near Price Creek from mileposts 61 to 67.
