Procession for Black Diamond police officer Greg Goral Monday, Aug. 24

Cmdr. Greg Goral with the Black Diamond Police Department died Sunday following an extended battle with cancer.

He was diagnosed with appendiceal cancer three years ago.

A procession is planned for Monday, Aug. 24. The processional route will begin at the Black Diamond Police Department and continue northbound on 3rd Avenue (state Route 169) to Maple Valley.

A public service will be held at 11 a.m. at New Community Church located at 21401 244th Ave SE in Maple Valley following the procession.
