Two-alarm fire displaces three families in Renton, no injuries reported

Three families were displaced following a two-alarm apartment fire on Southeast Petrovitsky Road in Renton.

The third floor unit at Stonebrook Apartments caught fire around 4 p.m. Wednesday. No injuries were reported, according to Deputy Chief Erik Wallgren of Renton Fire & Emergency Services.

Wallgren said the first team on the scene saw flames coming from the third floor unit and attic upon arrival.

All occupants got out safely, he said.

There is water damage to the second and first floor units.

American Red Cross is assisting all three displaced families, according to Wallgren.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Units from Maple Valley Fire & Life Safety, Kent Fire Department RFA and Tukwila Fire Department responded to the fire as well.
