Summit Gymnastics boys team scores well in state gymnastics championship

Summit Gymnastics Boy’s Artistic Team had a good showing at the Washington state Men’s Gymnastics Championships on March 19. The meet was at Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines. Athletes competed in six events including vault, pommel horse, parallel bars, high bar, floor and rings.

The meet was at Mount Rainier High School in Des Moines.  Athletes competed in six events including vault, pommel horse, parallel bars, high bar, floor and rings.

Summit gymnasts placed in the following events:

Brian Fox: fourth on rings, level four

Shane Conley: seventh on rings, level four

Thomas Richmond: third on rings, fourth on parallel bars, fifth all around, level 6

Robby Guyer: second on all six events plus second all around, level seven

Antonio Lim: first vault, second parallel bars, second floor, third high bar, second all around, level seven

John Lim: third floor, level 10

Thomas Richmond, Robby Guyer, Antonio Lim and John Lim all earned qualifying scores to compete in regionals. Regionals will be April 9 in Tacoma.
