Expect a lot of Bear sightings at the state track and field meet this weekend, Tahoma has a large group of athletes running, jumping and throwing.
The 4A state meet began Thursday and runs through Saturday at Mount Tahoma Stadium in Tacoma.
Thursday meet results were not available when this edition went to press.

For the girls team nine will be making the trip to Tacoma and three boys.
The girls team finished in fourth place at the district meet.
Savannah Johnson will be competing in three individual events and the 800-meter relay.
The star jumper will compete in the long jump and triple jump.
In the West Central District III 4A meet at Mount Tahoma Friday, Johnson qualified for state reaching 17 feet, 10 inches in the long jump and 37-11.25.
Johnson will also run in the 200-meter dash. Her qualifying time at districts was 25.85 seconds.
Tate Latimer will be flying over the hurdles in two events. She qualified in the 100-meter hurdles in 15.13 and the 300 hurdles in 45.33.
Lauren Clawson will run in the 800 after posting a qualifying time of 2:18.82.
Mollie Bahlenhorst will stretch it out in the 1,600. She ran in 5:11.26 at districts.
Julianna Mock will run in the 3,200. Her district time was 11:33.98.
Also in field events, Mande McKinney will compete in the long jump. Her qualifying leap was 17-02.25.
Bianca Walton qualified in the triple jump with 36-11.5.
The girls 200-meter relay also qualified for the state show in 1:43.42. Listed for the team are Johnson, Latimer, McKinney, Mollie Picha and Cassidy Richmond.
On the boys side of the ledger, Kelton Sears will be running in the 800-meter. His district time was 1:56.81.
Casey Campbell qualified in the 3,200 with a time of 9:39.31.
In field events Derek Eager will be throwing in two. He reached 144-09 in the discus at the district meet to qualify for state.
He will also be throwing the javelin at state. His qualifying throw was 189-10.
