Reporter Athlete of the Week: Elizabeth Basile

Tahoma High School’s Elizabeth Basile, soccer, was selected as the Covington Maple Valley Reporter’s Female Athlete of the Week for Nov. 16.

Q: What is your favorite subject in school?

A: Sports med or video production

Q: What other activities do you participate in?

A: Hanging out with friends, photography, travel

Q: Person who has helped you succeed the most?

A: My mom because she pushes me to always do my best

Q: Do you have a pre- or post-game tradition? What is it?

A: Pre-game: I listen to pump up music and I have a specific way I put on my pre-wrap headband

“Elizabeth Basile is a junior captain for the Tahoma girls soccer team. She has been a leader in the back helping lead the team to 10 shutouts this season. Elizabeth had two big goals last week. She scored the game winning goal against Hazen sending Tahoma to state. She also scored against Camas sending us to overtime. Elizabeth has also demonstrated great leadership in the classroom with a 3.78 GPA.”
