STONE CONNELL
Tahoma
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Football.
• Accomplishment: Connell pulled in seven receptions for 126 yards and a touchdown and added a key first-quarter fumble recovery that led to points, helping the Bears beat Kentwood 28-14 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.
• Favorite class: AP Government.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite John Madden and I would serve turkey and stuffing.
• Also noted: Along with football, Connell also is the captain of his lacrosse team. He also coaches youth lacrosse.
MOLLI BAHLENHORST
Tahoma
• Grade: Senior.
• Sport: Cross Country.
• Accomplishment: Bahlenhorst helped the Bears secure the team title at last Saturday’s Steilacoom Invitational, running the 3.1-mile course in 19:57.1, good enough for 11th place individually. As a team Tahoma finished with 99 points, well ahead of second-place Olympia (138).
• Favorite class: APGI/Media Culture and Society.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (actor) Dave Annable and serve steak with potatoes with ice cream for dessert.
• Also noted: Along with cross country, Bahlenhorst also competes in track and aspires to one day attend a four-year university, hopefully Washington State.
KATIE CLAYTON
Kentwood
• Grade: Sophomore.
• Sport: Soccer.
• Accomplishment: Clayton scored two goals and added an assist, leading Kentwood past Thomas Jefferson on Thursday, Sept. 18, 7-0 in a South Puget Sound League North Division game.
• Favorite class: ASL and Science.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite (rapper) Lil’ Wayne and I would serve fried chicken.
• Also noted: Clayton has played for an Olympic Development Program (ODP) soccer club for four years and loves to paint.
LAURA RAYFIELD
Kentlake
• Grade: Freshman.
• Sport: Soccer.
• Accomplishment: Rayfield continued to show she’s one to watch in the SPSL North, delivering three goals on Friday, Sept. 19 in a 4-1 win over Federal Way.
• Favorite class: Either Spanish or Video Production.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve: I would invite the women’s national soccer team because it would be really cool and I could get advice on how to make it to the top level of competition.
• Also noted: Rayfield carries a 4.0 grade point average and plans to continue playing soccer in college.
KYLE THOMAS and KYLE WOO
Kentlake
• Grade: Thomas is s sophomore; Woo is a freshmen.
• Sport: Tennis.
• Accomplishment: The Falcon pair went three marathon sets to get past Chris Rumor and Justin Rodjanapanyakul, 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (7-5 in the tiebreaker), giving Kentlake the decisive point in a 3-2 SPSL North Division victory against Kentwood on Sept. 15.
• Favorite class (Thomas): P.E.; Woo: Pre-calculus.
• If you could invite anyone in the world to dinner, whom would you invite, and what would you serve (Thomas): I would invite all my friends and I’d serve pasta and chicken. Woo: I would invite (tennis star) Roger Federer and I would serve sushi.
