Let’s make all campaign ads true, starting with Gregoire’s

I am writing this letter because I am appalled at these TV ads with adult citizens actually crying about ridiculous attacks about stem cell research, and I want the record set straight.

I am writing this letter because I am appalled at these TV ads with adult citizens actually crying about ridiculous attacks about stem cell research, and I want the record set straight.

I think these incorrect ads should not be allowed. Christine Gregoire ran for governor in 2004 stating that she supported stem cell research and would open 40,000 to 70,000 jobs here in Washington supporting this. She stated six weeks into the term she would omit the stem cell research facility after making this a major political concern during her campaign.

Well, this is 2008, and she has been governor for four years and she has not done anything to support stem cell research. Zero money, zero jobs.

She stated when asked that the government wouldn’t spend any money on this, yet I wonder how much she spends on these disgusting television attack ads that I have to turn my channel every time they come on because I know the truth behind her politics.

So does she support stem cell research?? And if so, how?

Please stop this rhetoric once and for all. Let’s make all campaign ads true, not false. Furthermore, four years of doing nothing will result in four more years of nothing.

Simpson stands up for district, not political expedience

This election, I’m voting again for state Rep. Geoff Simpson to continue representing us in Olympia.

He has spent the last eight years working for the families of our district by helping to create jobs, protecting the minimum wage and guaranteeing that every child has access to health care.

I’m also voting for Geoff Simpson because I know him. He is a firefighter who puts his life on the line to make sure our families are safe and secure. He is also a caring father who wants his three children to have a bright future with the opportunities that can be possible with a quality education.

These are uncertain times for all of us, so I’m going to vote for the person who has proved he stands up for our district, not politically expedience. Geoff Simpson has a proven record of results, not just promises.
