Linda Rose Jacobs Pederson

Linda Rose Jacobs Pederson, lead family services case manager at Vine Maple Place, died unexpectedly at her Maple Valley home Thursday, Feb. 17, 2011.

She was born March 22, 1954 in Chicago to Donald and Armella Jacobs. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from City University and a Master of Counseling psychology degree from Northwest University. With a background in helping individuals and families deal with life challenges, including addictions, domestic violence and disabilities, she poured herself into helping the homeless families who lived in transitional housing at Vine Maple Place.

Her favorite pastimes were reading, writing, cooking for loved ones and spending time with family.

She is survived by her parents, now of Tucson, Ariz.; her brother Paul Jacobs of Chicago, Ill.; her sister Nancy (Scott) Tilden, of Tucson, Ariz.; her daughters Karyn (Ian) Hanson of Snohomish, Kristin (Matthew) Green of Spokane,Catherine Pederson of Snohomish; George Pederson, her daughters’ father; and two granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Vine Maple Place, www.VineMaplePlace.org. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, at Cornerstone United Methodist Church in Covington in cooperation with Bauer Funeral Chapel of Snohomish.
