Jaime Kiley Buyagawan, Sr.

Jaime Kiley Buyagawan, Sr. died Sept. 7, 2008 in Covington, WA at the age of 65. Born April 26, 1943 in Suyo Sagada, Philippines, he moved to Los Angeles, CA after high school.He served with the United States Army in Vietnam and met Mary Tompao after returning. They were married a year later. They moved to Covington in 1973 where they raised their family. Jaime worked for Fisher Flouring Mills in West Seattle before retiring about 10 years ago. In his spare time he was an avid fisherman, played guitar, wrote his own songs, enjoyed poetry and art and made wood sculptures. He was also a member of St. James Episcopal Church and BIBAK of the Pacific Northwest. He is survived by his wife Mary, sons Norm (Jenn) of Sea Tac, WA and Jaime Jr. (Shelley) of Bellingham, WA; brothers Rudyard of Los Angeles, CA, Delfin of the Philippines, and Apolonio, Jr. (Adrienn) of Woodinville, WA; sisters Betty (Christian) of Germany, and Aida (Jaime) of the Philippines; grandsons Graham and Sawyer; and a granddaughter on the way. A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008 at St. James Episcopal Church in Kent with inurnment at Tahoma National Cemetery.Please sign our on-line guestbook at www.eycfc.com
