Betty Jean Butts

Betty Jean Butts of Maple Valley, WA died on Tuesday, June 30, 2009 with family present. Mrs. Butts was born in Vinton, IA on April 6, 1928, to Guy and Olive Montgomery. Betty was preceded in death by her husband Harold, eldest son Darrell (KIA in Vietnam), and sister Verla Geiger. She is survived by daughter Nancy Osburn of Auburn, son Dennis Butts of Auburn, son Michael Butts of Marysville, daughter Cindy Rue of Monroe, son Bruce Butts of Federal Way, son Eric Butts of Monroe, daughter Phyllis Maxwell of Maple Valley, son Jimmie Butts of Pacific, brother Donald Montgomery of Vinton, IA and brother Russel Montgomery of Cedar Rapids, IA, as well as 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held July 8 at Edline-Yahn & Covington Funeral Chapel with burial at Tahoma National Cemetery.
