Ailert Curtis Fingerson, 71, Covington, died Thursday, Sept. 25, 2008 in Sheyenne, ND. Mr. Fingerson was born August 2, 1937, in Valhalla Township in Wells County, ND. He grew up on the family farm in Sheyenne area. He worked on the family farm until age 17, when he started working road construction throughout North Dakota. He than began working with custom combining in the southern Midwest states, and also farmed on his own in the Oberon, ND, area. He married Sharon Gilderhus on December 19, 1964, in Dillon, MT. They lived in Conrad, MT, until January 1969, when they moved to Kent, WA. He became a heavy equipment mechanic for N.C. Machinery, Tukwila, WA, retiring in 1999 after 30 years. Since retiring, they spend summers in Sheyenne and winters in Yuma, AZ. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, mowing, mechanic work, listening to country and old-time music, playing cards and his dog, Dakota.He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Wendy (Joe) Wilson, Covington, and Kathy (Fred) Dahm, Issaquah; two sons, Keith, Covington, and Kevin, Enumclaw; a sister, Mavis Hanson, Auburn; three brothers, DuWayne (Lori) Bozeman, MT, Leland (Judy), Auburn, and Larry (Jeanine), Spanaway; seven grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a son, Wade; his parents; and two sisters, Orpha Rosendahl and Velma Anderson.A celebration of his life will be held at the family home, 17514 SE 265th St, Covington, WA 98042 on Sat, October 11, beginning at 1:00pm. Potluck Luncheon.
