What’s happening during Maple Valley Days

Local event includes vendors, parades, fundraisers and more

For over 60 years the city of Maple Valley has hosted Maple Valley Days to kick off the summer. This year, the fun is from June 7 – 9 at Lake Wilderness Park. The festivities start at 3 p.m. on Friday and last until 10 p.m. On Saturday, the day will start earlier at 10 a.m. and then close at 8 p.m. Sunday is a little shorter with the day kicking off at 10 a.m. and ending at 5 p.m.

According to the Maple Valley Days website, there is limited parking available throughout Lake Wilderness and it cost $10 to park. There will be a free shuttle that will go between the park, Lake Wilderness Elementary School and Rock Creek Elementary School.

Special Events

Bring four non perishable food items and $20 for the Maple Valley Food Bank Drive on Friday and get a bracelet for unlimited rides on Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Without a food donation, it will cost $30. On Saturday, the annual Maple Valley Days Parade will start its way down Witte Road at 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Maple Valley Days and the Maple Valley, Black Diamond Kiwanis Club are hosting a beer, cider and wine tasting in the upper parking lot of Lake Wilderness. It will feature Vintage Vino and Espresso, along with Imbibe Bottle House and Taproom. The tasting will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Other Events

On Saturday, there will be breakfast at the Maple Valley Community Center, hosted by Maple Valley Lions Club from 7 – 9:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit the Lions Club. It costs $7 per adult and $5 per child who is 12 years or younger.

There will also be a Lake Wilderness Arts Festival at the Lake Wilderness Lodge that will take place from 12 – 6 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

An assortment of vendors will also be present during all three days. Vendors include King County Parks, Maple Valley Special Athletics, Zero Waste Maple Valley, South County Cats and 12th Paw Mobile Dog Spa LLC. To see the full list of vendors, go to maplevalleydays.com/vendors.
