This new year marks 49 years of volunteerism at Lake Wilderness Arboretum.

As the volunteers and the Lake Wilderness Arboretum Foundation look forward to the future as a vibrant destination in the Puget Sound area, we are also looking to build a strong organization to support this growth.

The Arboretum is honored to offer a wide variety of opportunities for members, the local community, service and youth groups to contribute to the nurturing of the Arboretum, even in the winter.

Consider joining Arboretum staff members and longtime volunteers for work parties on the grounds, taking place every Wednesday morning and the first two Saturdays of each month. Work parties begin at 9 a.m. and run to about 12 p.m. No experience is necessary, there’s always a place for your talents. Since the Arboretum was developed and is maintained by volunteers, opportunities range from strategic planning to digging in the dirt.
