The Maple Valley Youth Symphony Orchestra is again offering their Summer Music Camp for $10. This year’s theme is epic and features music from favorite epic movies such as “Lord of the Rings.”

“We do this so that every kid can afford to come to camp regardless of their financial situation,” Elisa Lewis said, the youth symphony’s executive director. “It’s a win-win. The kids and their families get to try out the orchestra and it helps us grow our program in a fun way. We are all excited about it – staff and students alike.”

This year’s camp will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Aug. 16-20 with a concert at 7 p.m. Aug. 20.

Camp and the concert will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 23855 Southeast 216th St., Maple Valley
