SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES

• On April 23 officers were contacted regarding reports the victim had received strange text messages from an unknown number. The police report stated the messages threatened to release nude photos of her.

• On April 24 it was reported to officers the victim came home and found the lock had been cut off a gate. The police report stated property belonging to an ex-boyfriend was missing.

AUTO THEFT

• On April 26 it was reported the reporting party’s vehicle was stolen from Lake Wilderness Park. The police report stated the registered owner’s son had left the keys in the vehicle while he was down by the lake. When he turned around, the report added, he saw the vehicle drive off.

LARCENY

• On April 23 it was reported that an unidentified black male had stolen the victim’s iPhone from the deli counter at Safeway. According to the police report, she had accidentally left her phone on the counter.

• On April 23 officers detained and charged a suspect for stealing shoes from Kohl’s. Later the same day, officers returned to Kohl’s and charged two other suspects with stealing items. The police report stated their vehicle was also impounded.

• On April 24 it was reported that an unidentified suspect had stolen Walmart store keys and used them to access the gun case and other secured, high valued items.

• On April 25 it was reported to officers the reporting party’s gun had been stolen from his glove box in his vehicle.

• On April 27 a work truck was parked near the Maple Valley Fred Meyer when it was reported that an unknown person had taken a bag from the bed of the truck.

• On April 28 it was reported that subjects stole hand baskets full of unknown items from QFC. The police report stated the subjects fled the scene.

• On April 28 officers were called to Rite Aid to reports that an identified suspect and accomplice had stolen diapers. The police report stated the two fled the scene in a recently stolen vehicle.

• On April 28 it was reported that two suspects had stolen 20 pallets from Johnson’s Home and Garden. The police report stated the suspects left behind trash after loading the pallets into a truck.

• On April 29 the reporting party contacted officers to inform them that his wallet and cell phone had been stolen from his jacket while at the Covington Walmart. The police report stated his jacket was discarded in the apparel section of the store.

CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

• On April 26 officers contacted two subjects in the Jack in a Box parking lot. The police report stated both subjects blamed the other of selling the nearly four grams of heroin and 86 grams of methamphetamine that was found.

• On April 27 officers disposed of contraband after being called to Goodwill for suspicious circumstances. The police report stated a pipe and baggie of meth were disposed of.

VANDALISM

• On April 24 officers arrived on scene where the city of Covington had placed a radar trailer on the west side of 200 Avenue Southeast and just south of Southeast 263rd Place to monitor traffic speeds. Officers arrived to inspect the device and according to the police report, suspects had spray painted the radar lens.

• On April 28 it was reported to officers the victim’s passenger window on their vehicle had been broken while parked at the Maple Valley Fred Meyer. The police report stated nothing was taken from inside the vehicle.

THREATS

• On April 29 it was reported that a student at Tahoma High School had reportedly texted another student saying that she was going to shoot a teacher.

• On April 29 officers responded to reports that an estranged family member was threatening to blow up family member’s homes.

BURGLARY

• On April 21 it was reported to officers that items had been stolen from inside the reporting party’s garage. The police report stated the garage door had been left open.

• On April 24 it was reported that two subjects from a suspected drug house had reportedly broken into the neighbor’s backyard.

JUVENILE DISTURBANCE

• On April 23 it was reported to officers that a juvenile subject had caused damage to the inside of a home. The police report stated the subject was gone when officers arrived on scene. The report added that authorities have been working with the reporting party and have a plan in place.

DRIVING WITH LICENSE REVOKED

• On April 23 officers pulled over a vehicle that was reportedly going 57 mph in a 35 mph zone. The police report stated the driver was driving on a suspended license. The report added their vehicle was then impounded.

PARKING VIOLATION

• On April 24 a citizen called the Maple Valley Police Department to report an abandoned vehicle that had been parked alongside the street that hadn’t moved in several days near Southeast 256th Place and 210 Avenue Southeast. The police report stated the vehicle was impounded.

STALKING/HARASSMENT

• On April 24 officers were dispatched to a home regarding reports of vandalism. The police report stated a known person had placed nails underneath the reporting party’s vehicle tires. The police report also stated the suspect threatened to expose their relationship to the reporting party’s girlfriend.

TRESPASS

• On April 25 officers arrived at Walmart to reports a male subject was yelling at customers and refused to leave. The police report stated he was issued a trespass warning.

INDECENT PHONE CALLS

• On April 26 the victim contacted officers to inform them an unknown person had reportedly been texting them lewd messages.
