The Washington State Patrol is investigating a car versus pedestrian collision that occurred this morning (Tuesday) on state Route 515 in Kent.

Detectives are seeking any witnesses who have knowledge of the incident or who may have hit some debris near the 22400 block of SR 515 around 5 a.m. to call Detective Stacy Moate at 425-401-7746.

At 5:09 a.m. troopers were dispatched to a car versus pedestrian collision on SR 515 in Kent. When troopers arrived they observed a 22-year-old female lying in the middle of the northbound lanes. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stay at the scene. Evidence indicates the female was crossing the five lane roadway from the west to the east when she was hit in the northbound lanes, possibly multiple times. The 22-year-old Kent resident was transported to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries.

The WSP has information on one vehicle that struck the pedestrian, but is asking anyone who may have seen the incident, or knows someone who did, to call Moate.

The northbound lanes of SR 515 were closed for approximately three hours while troopers investigated the scene.
