According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the driver of a pick up, a 24-year-old man from Buckley, stuck and killed a 20-year-old man riding a bicycle near Enumclaw early Sunday morning. The man driving the pick up shot and killed himself just after the accident. Both men died at the scene.

The incident occurred about 2:10 a.m. The pick up, a 1992 GMC Sierra 2500, was southbound on 228th Avenue Southeast near Southeast 444th Street.

A second vehicle was passing the truck when the bicyclist, also southbound, was hit. The bicyclist was a 20 year-old Enumclaw man staying with family friends near the scene of the accident.

A passenger in the truck (and the owner of the vehicle) is a 27 year-old Buckley man who is a cousin of the driver. Both the driver and the passenger are acquainted with the bicyclist.
