UPDATE | Kent, Tahoma School Districts closed for Tuesday

The districts announced Monday classes were canceled for Tuesday, Feb. 12.

All Kent School District schools will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 12.

The central administration office will also be closed.

All elementary school conferences will be rescheduled to a later date.

Conditions will continue to be assessed for Wednesday, Feb. 13 as another storm is forecasted to move in.

Tahoma School District

The Tahoma School District also announced late Monday classes for Tuesday, Feb. 12 have been canceled.

All after school and evening activities and events have also been canceled.

According to the district’s Facebook page:

“The Extended Enrichment Program will operate at Lake Wilderness Elementary School, starting at 8 a.m. (Watch for EEP updates in case conditions change).

We will update staff and community members tomorrow about whether the Central Services Center is open and whether the School Board meeting will happen.”
