Air Force Airman Brandon Gillespie, formerly of Maple Valley, has completed basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.

The six weeks of training included physical training, rifle marksmanship, field exercises and human relations.

Gillespie is the son of Daun Gillespie of Maple Valley. He is a 2007 graduate of Tahoma High School.
