Community prayer walk stretching two miles is planned

Rainier Christian Schools will be host a school and community prayer walk May 17 to emphasize prayer’s “importance.”

The event, which will cover two miles, will start at 9 a.m, at the Rainier Christian administrative offices at 16707 174th Ave SE. in the Fairwood area.

A prayer path will have markers and reminders encouraging participants to pray for schools, communities, churches, pastors, teachers and government leaders.

“The importance of prayer can’t be overstated,” said Glenn Olson, Rainier Christian’s development director. “It’s fun, exciting and a blessing to us to see children of all ages, along with their parents, friends, grandparents and neighbors praying together.”

Rainier Christian has 850 students in schools throughout the south King County area, including Maple Valley.
