FOOLED YOU: 17000 block of Southeast 272nd Street. After selling stereo equipment to a buyer in a deal arranged through Craigslist the seller discovered the buyer used counterfeit $50 bills to pay for the purchase.

CAR PROWL: 26200 block of 197th Place Southeast. Someone broke into a car parked in the owner’s driveway and stole the owner’s laptop.

March 26

SHOPLIFTING: 16700 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A man identified as Roger tried to steal baseball cards from Fred Meyer by slipping them in his back pocket before he left the store.

BULLIES: 19600 block of Southeast 272nd Street. A girl was beat up by three female classmates at Cedar Heights Middle School after sending what was described as “a bad text message.”

CAR PROWL: 27500 block of Covington Way. Someone stole stereo equipment and other items from a truck that was parked at the Costco parking lot. The thief attempted to steal the vehicle but was unsuccessful.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: 26600 block of 190th Avenue Southeast. A man assaulted his girlfriend then threatened her with a handgun.

VANDALISM: 27600 block of 237th Place. Someone threw eggs at a home as well as poured mustard on the fence surrounding the victim’s house.

March 26

THEFT: 26900 block of Maple Valley Highway. A 15-year-old boy left his bike unlocked and unattended outside Safeway at Four Corners. It was stolen while he was in the store.

TOO OLD FOR GAMES: A 13-year-old girl was conversing with others in a chat room for fans of Pokemon, the popular card and video game, when adult men began talking to her raising suspicion with the girl and her parents.

MAIL THEFT: 22000 block of Southeast Wax Road. Checks were stolen from a post office box at the Maple Valley postal branch and then used to withdraw money at various check cashing locations in the area.

THEFT: 26800 block of 236th Place Southeast. A church elder caught two women stealing items from the donation trailer at the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

CRAIGSLIST HAS EVERYTHING: 27200 block of Maple Valley Highway. Someone placed a suspicious ad on Craigslist alluding to a marijuana grow.
