•Black Diamond Plant Sale

The 43rd Annual Black Diamond Library Plant Sale is scheduled for 9 a.m. to noon, May 2, at the Black Diamond Community Center located at 31605 Third Avenue.

Please note the location change.

Friends of the Black Diamond Library will be selling native plants, garden books and much more.

Proceeds from the event support the library’s children and youth programs. Plant donations will be accepted at the library until April 15.

• Learn about foster care

A community foster care information night is being offered.

The event is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. May 15 at the Maple Valley Community Center, 22020 S.E. 24th St.

The event offers an opportunity to meet with local foster parents. Local licensors will be available to answer questions.
