City Council to discuss fireworks ban being placed on the ballot | Maple Valley

The Maple Valley City Council meets at 7 p.m., Monday July 27 at the Tahoma School District Central Services building

At their regular meeting slated for 7 p.m., Monday July 27, the Maple Valley City Council will discuss a resolution to authorize a fireworks ban to be placed on the Nov. 3, 2015 election ballot.

The proposal to put this question to voters came about after the council discussed and ultimately had a tie vote on a fireworks ban at their June 29 meeting. The tied vote caused the motion to ban fireworks in the city to fail.

The entire agenda for the meeting can be found on the city’s website.
