The blood supply for hospitals in south King County and other parts of western Washington has returned to a preferred four-day supply, Puget Sound Blood Center reported.

A blood shortage had reached emergency levels in December as a result of bad weather keeping donors away, the agency said. Donors have since replenished the supply.
