The Tahoma Interact Club is having a fundraiser on Thursday, Jan. 31 at MOD Pizza in Maple Valley.
The club is trying to raise enough money bring fuel-efficient and environmentally sound cookstoves to Central American Families.
The money raised will go to “Stove Team International,” which is a nonprofit that helps local entrepreneurs establish factories in Latin America.
“These self-sustaining businesses produce safe, affordable, fuel-efficient cookstoves to replace dangerous open cooking fires,” it said on the Stove Team International website.
