The annual Maple Valley Fishing Derby is in full swing today.

The fishing at Lake Wilderness began early this morning, following a dinner that Maple Valley Rotary Club – one of the event’s organizers – began serving at 5 p.m. yesterday.

The club is serving breakfast today until noon.

Prizes are on the line for the biggest fish and in a drawing.

The derby’s sponsor is Greater Maple Valley-Black Diamond Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Rotary and the city of Maple Valley.
