Dance show a cancer benefit

Mo-Dazz for the Arts’ fourth annual Dance for a Cure benefit performance, inspired by a Maple Valley cancer patient and supporting the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Pete Gross House, is scheduled for May 17 at the Moore Theater in Seattle.

The dance performance and silent auction will take place at 5:30 p.m. Actor, Rob Estes will be the emcee. Emmy-nominated choreographer Gregg Russell, along with teachers /choreographers Joelle Martinec and Christina Woodard, will travel from Los Angeles to help the event.

Mo-Dazz for the Arts works with dancers ages 7 to 18.

Dance for a Cure is inspired by Tricia Grove, a Maple Valley attorney and former University of Washington and Seattle Sonics cheerleader who is battling cancer. Grove is the sister of Dance for a Cure executive producer Elizabeth Lanning.
