The incumbent mayor has gone out of her way to support land developer YarrowBay despite community concern over surrounding Black Diamond with dense development. And her campaign contributions now prove that it matters to the developer.

The incumbent mayor has gone out of her way to support land developer YarrowBay despite community concern over surrounding Black Diamond with dense development. And her campaign contributions now prove that it matters to the developer.

She is accepting large sums from YarrowBay contractors: $900 — maximum allowed — from Triad Engineering in Kirkland and $500 from Transpo Group in Kirkland. Additionally, she took $250 from Seattle-King County Realtors in Bellevue.

It was disappointing enough when the mayor ignored resident concerns during the last four years. I was at the public hearings and the council meetings. I’ve seen it.

Now she is taking money and help from development interests for her campaign. Obviously they like the treatment they’ve been getting.

I’m supporting Dave Gordon for mayor. He’s not taking developer money and won’t accept their biases. I’m also supporting Erika Morgan for City Council. She has been watching YarrowBay like a hawk for years and calling them out on the problems they will create.
