Pat Sullivan one of those rare politicians | Letter

It is rare in today’s political arena to find a person of Pat Sullivan’s character and make-up. He certainly would be the last person to tell you as he is an extremely humble man. He is that superman who is sent in to help rescue education and issues for the common man. Yet, similar to the character of superman, he hides in normal clothing and blends in with all his fellow colleagues.

Yet, the acts of courage to defend and work for our kids and our district speak volumes. He fought for our district to get their fair share of the tax dollars paid into the State, which helped bring about the court case that stated just that: give the 47th equal value for the dollars put into the system. He makes a full-time commitment to this job. Everyone knows if you are passionate about issues and making change you have to make this part time paid legislative position-full time. His dedication to the community started on a local unpaid level and just kept growing. He is truly that family man, soccer coach and recognized PTA parent. The image of Democrats just throwing money at programs and not balancing budget is one Pat just does not fit. In hard economic times in his own office currently he has managed and cutback on staff if at all possible, and any unnecessary mailings or literature. He is making sacrifices in his personal life to make people and families in the 47th district lives better.

This is the type of man we need in the Washington state Legislature representing us and he is our chance to have that superman in Olympia.
