LETTER: Victoria Jonas the best candidate for the future of city

During many years of public involvement, I’ve been hesitant to endorse candidates, especially those in hometown elections. However, in the case of Victoria Jonas I am pleased to have the opportunity to endorse her for re-election to the Maple Valley City Council.

During many years of public involvement, I’ve been hesitant to endorse candidates, especially those in hometown elections. However, in the case of Victoria Jonas I am pleased to have the opportunity to endorse her for re-election to the Maple Valley City Council.

I previously served with Victoria on the Maple Valley City Council and currently serve with her on the Board of the Association of Washington Generals. Her integrity has always been of the highest order.

She has continuously demonstrated wholehearted devotion to serving the people of our community and state. Victoria has always shown a willingness to make tough decisions to benefit those she represents, rather than for political popularity or ego-gratification. No matter what the public need, be it the Food Bank or, in the latest case, the Farmers’ Market, she is there with hard, dedicated work.

In my opinion, Victoria is a rarity in the public arena, possessing the foresight and leadership ability to help our city achieve a better future. Victoria is a public servant we must keep in our service.
