Firefighters appreciate the support of community

It was with enthusiasm and excitement that the members of the Maple Valley Fire Department took to the streets to “Fill the Boot” for the MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association).

Through their efforts they were able to collect a whopping $9,326.86! On behalf of the Maple Valley Fire Department and IAFF Local 3062, I would like to thank all of those that made this event such a huge success. If it weren’t for the generosity and compassion of the people who live in and commute through our great city we would not have been able to be so successful.

Year to date, our community has raised over $28,000 in its fight for the cure. Once again I would like to express my sincere appreciation to those who gave their time, including, firefighters from Maple Valley, Renton, Shoreline, King County Medic One and employees from the city of Maple Valley and the Maple Valley Police Department.
