Being named the Maple Valley Rotary club Rotarian of the Year is a great honor. Past winners have shown tremendous selflessness, impact and volunteerism above and beyond the normal effort. Member Patti Jenson knows that well having won the award in 2007.

At the combined presidential installation and Maple Valley Rotary 25th anniversary dinner June 13, President Sean Stewart named Patti Jenson the Rotarian of the Year for the second time in three years.

Stewart cited her performance in growing the Shop with a Cop program to become one of the largest in the country, her contribution to orchestrating the club’s annual auction and her performance as the club’s first public relations chair.

“Patti serves as an example to all rotarians through her selfless service and unending creative energy that she offers to the club on many, many projects. I’m excited to honor her as the Rotarian of the Year for 2010.” Stewart said.

Jenson will expand her service within rotary by serving as vice president on this year’s board, which began on July 1.

Jenson operates the Allstate Insurance business located at Four Corners and has been a member of Maple Valley Rotary since 2005.
